Statement

Dataset includes bathing sites of which water area is classified as C (coastal) and T (transitional). Classification methodology and details are specified by the WFD.

From the EEA data three sites were corrected with new locations due to their incorrect original locations (possible errors during recording). These sites are: Bingsmarken, SE (orig. coordinates N 55,39 E 15,799), Mossbylund, SE (orig. coordinates N 55,412 E 17,06) and Mossbystrand (orig. coordinates N 55,44 E 17,168)

The dataset was approved by all HELCOM Contracting Parties in the HOLAS II Human activities data review process during first quarter of 2017.
