Introduction of non-indigenous species and translocations (HOLAS 2)
The pressure layer represents biological pressure caused by introduction of non-indigenous species.
The data is obtained from core indicator Trend in the arrival of new non-indigenous species (BSEP 129b: http://www.helcom.fi/Lists/Publications/BSEP129B.pdf).
For the Baltic Sea Impact Index, the layer was normalized.

Data source:
HELCOM Core indicator Trend in the arrival of new non-indigenous species
Attribute information: Pressure value, originating from number of non-indigenous species in the assessment units in 2011
Spatial coverage: Entire Baltic Sea.
Spatial resolution: Original data as polygons (assessment units). Here 1 km x 1 km grid.
Time period and temporal resolution: 2011, assessed over 2008-2011
