This dataset contains dredging sites reported by HELCOM Contracting Parties, according to the HELCOM Recommendation 36/2 (https://helcom.fi/action-areas/industrial-municipal-releases/dredging/). Reporting of dredging sites is not mandatory according to the, but several Contracting Parties report information about dredging activities. The dredging sites are grouped by spatial data type to point, line and polygon datasets. The dredging site includes a link to corresponding site where the material has been deposited. The dataset contains dredging sites in the marine environment that were made available by HELCOM Contracting Parties in response to a data call. Data were reported by Estonia, Finland, Germany, Poland and Sweden for the period 2016-2020. The data for 2021 was reported within HELCOM EG DREDS.
